SLEIKUR (2022 - Ongoing)

Sleikur is a collective that organises queer club nights in Reykjavík, location varying. We are comprised of producers, DJ's, artists, designers, care crew, volunteers and more members of our community. As of May 2025 there have been six different editions of the club nights, featuring DJ's, dancers, designers, visual artists, tattoo artists and more artists and art forms.

 

Furthermore, we organise DJ workshops for the community and host monthly DJ-sets in collaboration with DRIF LIVE, our goal being to further representation of the community in our scene. More pictures and information can be found on our closed Instagram profile (for safety reasons). We are in close collaboration with queer organisations Queer Rage and R.E.C. Arts in creating our events and participating in different projects towards queer liberation.

Sleikur has a sliding scale system for tickets and all proceedings go directly to our artists and designers. Sleikur was initially formed and continues to try to centralise those that are most marginalised in our community. We want to foster a safer party culture in Reykjavík and for us to have a place where we can make out in peace.

This is an event where people can play with expressing their gender identity, sexuality and fluidity. Always ask for consent, and respect others. To maintain a safer space, we adhere to our Zero Tolerance Policy, which we ask you to read thoroughly before attending. Any behaviour that breaks our Zero Tolerance Policy (pinned on Instagram profile) will lead to immediate expulsion from the venue.
